LECTROMAX has full facilities for the design and manufacture of an extensive range of products and accessories and is able to supply equipment to carry out any magnetic particle inspection requirement irrespective of size or weight of component.
The basic principle of the technique is to induce a magnetic field into the part under test. A discontinuity or crack will create a leakage flux which causes applied fine ferromagnetic particles to migrate to the area of the defect producing a clear outline of the crack. Sensitivity of inspection is enhanced by the use of fluorescent medium with examination under ultra violet (black light).
The coordination between the waveform, current flow, magnitude and direction of the magnetising field is critical.
